On September 26, we took 7 students from Spray and Mitchell to compete in a 2027 OSCF
State Championship Qualifier and US Chess Federation Rated Tournament at the Husky
Scholastic Chess Tournament at Sherman County School.
Students who attended and played included:
Wade Elementary Novice
Ginny and Ashley Elementary Intermediate
Ile and Olesel, MS/HS Novice
Nicholas and Jon Nolan MS/HS Intermediate
Wade, Olesel and Nicholas received medals in their respective groups for winning 2 out of their
4 games.
Jon Nolan won his group going 4-0.
Ashley 1.5, Ginny 1, Ile .5 played some competitive games, as well.
